8 Ways to use Coconut Oil

Coconut oil has been gaining popularity amongst the health and wellness community. It’s versatility in cooking, baking, skin and beauty warrant purchasing it in those ridiculously large tubs. Below are 8 ways use coconut oil to your benefit.
 
1. As a coffee creamer when blended into coffee:

2. On your  skin as a moisturizer:
Coconut oil is rich in  anti-oxidant’s, is antibacterial and antimicrobial. These properties make it a great anti-aging moisturizer, and it’s safe for babies and children too!
 
3. As an eye-makeup remover:
Just dab some on a cotton ball and you’ll be amazed at how well it works!
 
4. To help increase sun tolerance and avoid burning:
Coconut oil acts naturally as an spf 4. It also has plenty of vitamin E to aid in the recovery sun burned skin.
 
5. To help sooth a sore throat:
A tablespoon melted into a cup of warm liquid such as, coffee, tea, or water can help sooth a sore throat.
 
6. Fat Loss
It has been proven to stimulate your metabolism, escalate energy levels, and improve thyroid function which all lead to fat loss!
7. For cooking:

          Homemade Baking Soda and Coconut Oil Toothpaste Ingredients:

Instructions:

          1. Mix baking soda and coconut oil in a small container, until it forms a paste like consistency

          2. Add several drops of peppermint oil and mix (*peppermint is optional)
